Rosso Di Montalcino DOC Il Poggione is an intense ruby red. Fruity bouquet with red berry notes. Well structured with layers of flavour and a long-lasting finish. Smooth velvety tannins.
Rosso Di Monalcino Il Poggione is a younger, more accessible version of brunello. Composed of 100% Sangiovese from the estate’s younger vines, this already well developed, complex wine is then aged 12 months in French oak. Oak aging is not obligatory for the production of Rosso di Montalcino, but practiced to improve the quality of the wine, the oak softening tannins and adding complex aromas and flavours.
