Founder and Italian wine connoisseur, Giorgio Castiglioni, had a vision that he would bring all Italian wine lovers together into one meeting place where they can share their passion through a common community. This website was built to bring Giorgio's vision to life!
Meet Giorgio
Giorgio's roots stem from Somma Lombardo, Italy where he has been a part of the hospitality industry since he was 13 years old.
Giorgio has travelled worldwide and has built a solid reputation of being an Italian Wine expert in countries like England, Bermuda, USA and Canada. He has even had the honour of serving several personalities such as Ronald Regan, Margaret Thatcher, Giulio Andreotti, Robert Plant, Clint Eastwood, Brian Mulroney and some members of the British Royal Family.
Since moving to Canada in 1993, Giorgio's passion has focused on wine importing where Italian wines became his specialty. He also enthusiastically organizes seminars, wine tastings and educational events for Italian wines throughout the hospitality industry. His expertise quickly earned him to be one of the catalysts of the Italian wine industry in Western Canada.
Our Purpose
Our purpose is to keep you informed about Italian wines and help you become more familiar with all things Italian.
Through this website, networking events, wine tastings, regular eNewsletters and other media we will help you expand your understanding of the overall wine and food culture. Members receive frequent, clear information and educational literature to achieve this goal.
As a member, you will be privy to guided Italian wine and food seminars and events that are organized year-round throughout the lower mainland of British Columbia. You will also receive exclusive invitations to private events that are also organized with an Italian wine theme such as charity events, corporate functions and professional courses.
